This information may be provided by the business owner, imported from public sources such as Google Maps, or submitted by users.

Customer information

When customers interact with SourceBase via WhatsApp or the web, we collect: WhatsApp number, phone number, name (if provided), search queries, enquiry details, booking requests, and review content.

Usage data

We log search queries, demand patterns, and interaction data to improve our service and help businesses understand what customers are looking for.

API access

When you use our API, we log API key usage, request counts, and rate limit data.

Business listing information (name, address, phone, products, prices) is publicly visible on our website, API, and through AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude. This is the core purpose of the platform — helping businesses get discovered.

Customer contact details are shared only with the specific business they enquire about or book with.

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database hosting (data stored securely in the cloud)
• Twilio — WhatsApp messaging
• Google Maps — business location data and maps
• OpenAI / Anthropic / Google — AI processing for data extraction

4. Business Owner Rights

If you are a business owner, you can:

• Claim and manage your business listing through our portal or WhatsApp
• Update or correct any business information
• Request removal of your business listing by contacting us

5. Customer Rights

You can request deletion of your personal data (WhatsApp number, name, enquiry history) by contacting us. Search queries are logged anonymously and cannot be linked back to individuals after 30 days.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted database connections, API key authentication, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies

Our public website does not use tracking cookies. The admin dashboard and business portal use session cookies for authentication only.
